Wyandanch Village

For many years, the Wyandanch area was known as one of the most economically distressed areas on Long Island. Through thoughtful planning by The Albanese Corporation, along with members of the local community, a gentrification plan was formulated, and now is being implemented called Wyandanch Rising. This $500 million mixed use revitalization will include parks, shops, restaurants, and residential units. American panel Tec recently completed building 2, a mixed use five story apartment and retail building, located steps from the Long Island Railroad. APT’s scope was to furnish and install the load bearing wall panels, Ecospan floor system, and roof system for the building. The location near the LIRR made the job especially difficult as the location of the crane for erection required that power be discontinued to the rail service.
